A girl child is born and the rejoicing father(s) are stunned. A large pot of milk is prepared and the baby girl is just immersed and held till the bubbles die.

Mathrubhoomi - A nation without women. The title comes alive. This is Manish Jha's movie on female infanticide. The irony was evident in the title. Matrhubhoomi (motherland) - A nation without women.

What happens if there are no women in a population of say 5,000 adolescent and unmarried menfolk ?

What happens if there had been no weddings in the village for Fifteen years ?

What happens if the male-female sex ratio falls drastically say 200 women for 1000 men ?

The movie explores these questions in a realistic way.

a young effemenate man play the parts of a dancergirl in a small village skit with all the other vllagers hooting and jeering the dancegirl. They know that it is a man. But they have no choice.

The local cinema theatre doubles as a mass pronographic den were men jack off relieving their frustrations.

One of the protaganists' friend gets engaged leaving the protaganist fuming with jeleousy. The groom gleefully says "Choudha saal ki apsara hai" (An Fourteen year old Angel). The wedding ceremony is on and the father pauses to pay the bride's dad A lakh of rupees and a few cows. As the wedding draws to a close, it is discovered that the bride is a young boy. The boys father escapes with the money.

A powerful family of fuedators are searching high and low for a bride for the eldest son. The pandit (priest) helps them locate a girl (Kalki) . Unable to decide which of the son to be married to. The father marries all his sons to Kalki. The price of Kalki is Rs. 5 Lakhs.

After the wedding, the sons discuss and work out a schedulde for sleeping with their new bride. Exasperatedly, the father father in law crys "What about Me ? " !!!

Then starts the ordeal for Kalki. The father in law starts consumates the wedding on the first night and a sexual ordeal of macabre proportions follows day in and day out. Kalki is bedded every day of the week for months in continuity. In all these dark surroundings there is a small ray of light and hope for Kalki. Suraj the youngest of the sons is a little more considerate and compassionate towards Kalki. Kalki falls in love with him and really laughs with joy when he is around. He is her only hope in this dark life. The brothers and father in a fit of jelousy murder suraj and thus extinguishes the only light in Kalki's life. Kalki tries to run away with the help of the "house help". The "house help" a young bot of 11 is brutally killed by the brothers and Kalki re-taken prisoner. The "house helps" uncle seeks revenge.

Kalki's ordeal continueous now as a bonded sex slave for the brothers. She is housed in the cowshed, with legs and arms bonded. The brothers and the father-in-law continue to rape and ravage her. The avenging uncle of the "house help" enters the cowshed one night and finds kalki tied and bruised. Unable to control he rapes her tied and bonded.

Kalki becomes pregnant and is now accorded the status of the mother. Things change and she is accepted back at the household. It is strange the eagerness of these men to procreate and further their genes. Kalki gets all the attention for one brief moment.

Who is the father ? "Me" cry all the brothers. The avenger who rapes her for his slain nephwe is elated too. He comes to claim his bride and the baby starting off a bloody caste war. Kalki goes into labour when the whole village fights, killing and burning each other.

Kalki delivers and its a girl...

The whole movie is so intense it disturbed me completely. Shorn of all Jhatak Mhataks (bollywood hip gyrations) and lousy candyfloss songs set in switzerland, Mathrubhoomi demands your full undevided attention. It would shock you, stun you and numb you with its in-your-face story telling and gory violence.

Kalki represents India in some of its villages, raped and abused by fuedal lords who fight to take posession of.

Sadly, many parts of northern India (haryana) are as portrayed in this movie. Sex ratios have fallen to as low as 650 women for 1000 men. bride buying from bangladesh is also common. Frustrated males have taken to crime and have unleashed a terror unimagined in independant india.

A similar problem cropped up in southern India (Tamil Nadu) but thanks to Jayalalitha (one of the shrewedest Chief ministers) it was nipped in the bud. Small Self help groups are promoted funded by the state to aleviate poverty and provide opportunites at the lowest end of the society. These self help group have spread education and counsel young mothers and families. Coupled with this tough (in terms of female infanticide) poliece action and swift prosecution has curbed this menace in the mid 90s. More importantly female infanticide is considered a social stigma and this has given the girl child a little larger window of survival.

I would advise people with a faint heart not to watch the movie. But I believe this is one of the best scripted movie to come out of bollywood in a long time.

Kudos to Jah for a brilliant piece of cinema.

According to the Union health and family welfare minstry and UN organisations over 35 million girl children had been killed systematically over the last hundred years.

Female infanticide must stop and the full force of law should be behind it, else we would really become "a nation without women"

For each one, there’s a lack of congruency between the individual pieces that make up the outfit.
And as you know, putting together a solid outfit doesn’t end with your clothing. You want your shoes and accessories to also make sense with the outfit you’ve put together.
It’s not always easy to choose the best watch, because like shoes, they come in different shapes and sizes, are made from a wide variety of materials, and serve a myriad of purposes (yes, other than telling time).
In this article, I’ll equip you with the knowledge you need to pick the right watch for every outfit you ever wear.

Why the focus on wristwatches?

Watches are purpose-built pieces of machinery. Most of them are designed for very specific situations and functions.
You have your basic, no-frills watch on one end of the spectrum (i.e. the Timex Easy Reader), and on the other, mechanical watches with multiple complications… and everything in between.
Since we’re a style site, we’re going to consider a wristwatch’s design, purpose, and style when showing you how to pair it with your outfits.
Sure, you could wear a digital Casio with your suit. But that’s just like wearing your gym sneakers with your dress trousers… odd and mismatched in the most awful way.
Matching your watch to your outfit is not as difficult as it seems, once you know what to look out for.

Picking the right watch: A straight-forward approach

First, take a look at your outfit. How would you categorize it: sporty, casual, dressy casual, formal?

• Working out, doing everyday errands? sport or casual
• Having dinner with friends, going to the movies, visiting the in-laws? casual
• Attending a wedding or similar formal event? Anniversary date at a fancy restaurant? formal

Next, check out your watch selection. Evaluate the following elements when trying to decide if a particular watch leans more toward the casual or formal end of the spectrum.

Watch case material and size

This is probably obvious: if the case—the main “body” that houses the movement—is a precious metal (yellow or white gold, platinum) or mimics a precious metal, there’s a good chance your watch is more on the formal side.
If it’s made from steel, plastic, or other materials (ceramic, titanium, carbon fiber, etc.), it’s most likely not a formal watch.
As far as size, most men’s watches are between 36mm – 50mm in diameter. Formal watches are typically on the smaller side (36-40mm), while sport-specific and fashion watches can be seen across the whole spectrum.
In general, casual and sport-specific watches are larger than more formal watches. Some fashion brands take it a bit too far, and, while novel, can look like you’re wearing a wall clock on your wrist. Avoid these.

Watch Dial

Does it have stick or Roman numeral indices? Stick or Roman numerals tend to be found in more formal watches, while Arabic numbers are commonly found in more casual watches. Of course, there are exceptions to both.
Is the dial elegant and simple, or does it have multiple functions and complications?
The simpler and more elegant, the more formal the watch. When a watch is built for a specific task and has more complications (stopwatch capabilities, time zone distinctions, depth measuring), the more casual it is.

Watch strap

Worn-in leather looks better with jeans than it does with a suit. Thicker, bulkier straps are better with casual outfits as well.
Glossy, slim, and thin leather bands are better with formal attire, and don’t pair as easily with denim and other casual clothes.
Classic metal bands can go either way, but if your watch is sport-specific (chronographs, divers, etc.) it’s meant for more casual wear, or that particular sport.

If you want versatility…

If you’re looking for a versatile alternative that can work well with a number of outfits, consider buying a simple watch with a leather or metal band and uncomplicated dial.
Then, invest in a few inexpensive watch straps. Most watches allow you to easily swap out bands with a spring bar tool.
If you look online, there are countless photos of higher-end watches on nylon NATO straps, a perfect example of versatility and a high-low mix.
Some brands (like The Fifth) include an extra leather strap with each watch. Pretty great deal, if you ask me.
This band strategy will allow you to use your one watch in a variety of situations, from casual to formal, and anything in between.

Shortcut: A few clear-cut combos

If you can identify your wristwatch as any one of these combinations, then it should be easy to determine whether or not it’s appropriate to wear with the outfit you’ve chosen.

1. Simple dial, roman or stick indices, glossy leather or exotic hide strap? Dressy.
2. Digital interface, rubber strap? Sport.
3. Complicated dial, casual band (e.g. rubber, NATO, metal, worn-in leather)? Sport or casual.
4. Specific purpose (e.g. diver, chronograph)? Sport or casual.

Not as clear-cut a decision? Look down.

Dressy casual? “Creative” Black Tie? Which wristwatch do I wear?
If you’re all dressed, there’s a good chance you already have your shoes on, or at the very least, know which pair you’ll be wearing.
Where do your shoes fall on the formality scale?
If your shoes are formal (i.e. black oxford cap toes), go with a formal-looking watch.
If your shoes are casual (sneakers, boots, boat shoes) then your watch should also be casual, or all-purpose.
What if you’re wearing cognac-colored loafers? There’s a good chance your outfit is dressy casual, so avoid your digital Casio. Stick with something that has the same level of formality.
Want to make it even easier? Simply match the leather.
Black leather shoes? Choose your watch with the black leather strap.
Brown chelsea boots? Choose the watch with a brown leather strap, or one with the same level of formality, like a metal band fashion watch.

Luckily, it’s tough to mess up

For the most part, you can’t go wrong, as long as you don’t mix up two pieces from opposite ends of the formality spectrum.
In the end, you don’t want to think about it too much. Remember, dressing well should be enjoyable and, for the most part, effortless. No one’s gonna notice if your watch is slightly more elevated than the rest of your outfit, or vice versa.
Pay attention to key details in your watches, and you’ll have an easy time picking out the right one so your whole look is cohesive and well-put-together.

Let’s talk about what looks best with your skin color. Color and complexion are pretty important topics we haven’t discussed much here. This seems to be monumentally important to the ladies when they apply makeup, which makes sense when you’re basically coloring your face.
I doubt guys give it much thought; to be honest, I hardly do either. But if you’re spending time picking out some nice stuff to wear, why not take that one extra step to make sure the colors complement your complexion as well?
There are plenty of ways to determine the optimal color palette for your skin tone, but it really doesn’t have to be complicated. If we dudes follow a few simple pointers, we should be okay.

It’s important to experiment

Admittedly, color is a hard thing to get EXACTLY right, and luckily for dudes, it doesn’t matter that much. Just do your best. There’s a good chance you may not have the exact coloring of any of these examples, and so some color suggestions won’t apply to you. Or perhaps they’ll all apply to you… who knows.
For example, you may have olive skin but see a color under a different list that you like. Go for it! Try it out; it will probably look just fine on you. This list isn’t scientifically proven, so use it as a general guideline, and deviate when necessary. Remember that none of this is set in stone with no exceptions; it’s important for you to try stuff and see what looks good on you.
Some things to remember off the bat: If you have a lighter, paler complexion, avoid stark black and white. If you have a medium complexion, the primary and bold colors will suit you well. If you’re a darker skin tone, you have more freedom with whites and pastels than most.
Assuming you can remember those basic rules, you’ll be good, but let’s see if we can dig a bit deeper.

Dress for your skin tone

If your complexion closely resembles Conan O’Brien, focus on warm khaki colors, peach tones, teals, red, bright blues and greens.

Try to avoid: Black and white. The stark contrast is too much for your skin and will only accentuate the lack of color.
Let’s say you have the coloring of Justin Timberlake. Pastels look best on you. Think baby blue, light pink, lavender, pale yellow. Neutrals also look good on you, such as a lighter beige and heather gray.
Try to avoid: Really striking or primary colors. Also, too much deep, dark color can wash you out. Stay away from all black or all navy.
If you have more olive or tan skin like Adrian Grenier, try warm colors such as rich browns, orange-yellow, olive green, deep reds, and purples.
Try to avoid: White and black, pastels, any kind of faded color. These don’t work well with your complexion.
Lastly, let’s say you have a complexion like Will Smith. Dark colors look great on you like black, dark gray, and navy. Rich, deep colors also look good. Think emerald green, sapphire blue, royal purple. Bright white and pastel colors look great as well.
Try to avoid: Earthy tones and washed out colors; these don’t do anything for you.

Four universally flattering shades

Apparently, there are four colors that are universally flattering, regardless of your coloring. Pantone lists the official names of these colors as Eggplant, True Red, Indian Teal, and Mellow Rose.
Most guys wouldn’t know what the hell Indian Teal is. Don’t worry about it; it’s not important at all. How would guys wear these colors? Indian Teal and Eggplant (or similar variants) would look great as sweaters. True red? Try a Polo shirt. Mellow rose is basically a light pink / peach color, so try a dressy button-up under a blazer. As long as you find something in between those two hues, you’re good.

              I got to read this article from one of my favorite blogger so thought of sharing it. so let us jump into the topic, don’t we all love makeup hacks to save time as well as to learn something new. But just like fashion trends, hacks come and go and only the best ones stay forever. In 2015, some hacks ruled the internet world and I’ll share the most popular ones in this post.


1) Make your skin look like, well, skin!
This makeup hack is made popular by the very well known makeup artist Wayne Goss. His foundation trick will remove all the traces of foundation from your face. He swears that this trick will give you an amazing natural finish but at the same time give you required coverage that you want. For that all you need is just one drop of almond or Jojoba oil. Use one drop of any of these oils with your liquid foundation or crème foundation. Mix them together and apply either using brush or your fingers. This combination will change the texture of your foundation. You may use any oil from your choice of brand except lavender oil and also this hack doesn’t work with powder or mineral foundation. With this hack, your makeup will not look made up!
2) Using mascara as eyeliner:
The first thing we try to pack before a trip is our makeup products but still after reaching our destination we find one or two items missing from our bag. Do not panic if, you do not find your eyeliner inside your makeup pouch. You can use your mascara. You will find the product at the tip of the mascara wand. Dip your eyeliner brush at the tip of the mascara wand and apply it on your eye lid as a liquid liner and the good thing is if your mascara is waterproof then you get waterproof eye liner. Easy, right?
3) Emergence of triangle:

I am talking about the application of concealer underneath the eyes. We all know that concealer plays an important role in hiding our dark circles but in 2015 we got to know the correct way of applying concealer under the eye. And the correct technique is to draw a triangle instead of half moon and then blend it. The triangle shape is to achieve the desirable natural finish.
4) Long-lasting lipstick hack:
No matter how much money we spend on a good lipstick, it does not stay for more than 4 hours. Also, on busy days we do not get time for even touchups. With this hack, you can skip reapplication of the lipstick all day even after eating and drinking. For this you have to apply lipstick, then place a thin peace of tissue over your lips and then dab some translucent powder on the tissue paper. This trick will make your lipstick stay longer.
5) Red lipstick as concealer?
This is the most controversial hack of 2015. Some agree and half of the internet population is against this hack. The trick is to use red lipstick to cover heavy dark circles or other blemishes on face. Use any dark red orangish lipstick underneath your eyes and on other problem areas using a brush. Blend it properly. Now again, apply your usual concealer. This hack is most suitable for Indian skin tone.
6) Baking or cooking your face:

Don’t worry! You don’t need any utensils for cooking. Your face will do it for you. Kim Kardashian and other celebrities follow this technique to look flawless on screen. Start with your normal makeup routine of applying primer and foundation. When it’s done, take the concealer and draw triangle under your eyes. Add 2-3 layers of concealer even if you don’t need that much coverage. Do not blend it completely. Just slightly brush off any hard edges. Apply generous amount of loose powder over the concealer and wait for at least 10 minutes to get it cooked naturally by your facial heat. After it is cooked dust off the excess products with the help of a brush. This technique of cooking or baking hides any visible lines on face and gives a creaseless finish. Baking is perfect for those who work under heavy lights which melt all the products.
7) Ómbre lips:
Ómbre lips will give you fuller lips like Kylie Jenner minus the injections. There is no thumb rule for this technique. You can experiment with two to three colors of your choice rather than using just one lipstick. One of the basic techniques is to apply the lighter shade on the inner lips followed by one shade darker at the corners. Then dab concealer at the center of your lips and finish it with lightly dabbing a lip gloss.
8) Fixing broken makeup products:

This hack can fix your broken compacts or eye shadows. You will need rubbing alcohol that is used in cosmetics and a medicine dropper. Take the broken product and break it completely to powder form. Now with the help of a medicine dropper, take 2-3 drops of alcohol and drop on the product. Let it dry and you’re ready to use a brand new product!

1. Freeride and history

Let’s start with Gudauri. To get to this freeriders’ Mecca, you will anyways land in Tbilisi or Kutaisi, and then go with a mini-bus or taxi. The resort is closer to the Georgian capital, so it would be more reasonable to have fun and explore the Georgian culture there. It is worth noting that on the road from Tbilisi to Gudauri you should definitely make a stop at the fortress Ananuri, which was an important outpost on the road leading from the Daryal Gorge in XVI – XVIII centuries. It is well preserved, so you can wander around inside the walls, peak into the church, which is a part of the complex, and feel like in another century.

On the road from Gudauri to Tbilisi is located the first capital of Georgia, Mtskheta, a small town of greater historical and spiritual significance. Georgia’s Christianization started there, you can see a lot of stories depicted at the magnificent frescoes of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. First, there are two monasteries in Imereti, which belong to the UNESCO World Heritage List: Bagrati and Gelati. The first is located in the city, the road to the second will take about 15 minutes by car. View from both places is just stunning! And if you imagine that in the Middle Ages this area was very lively, scholars and monks have studied here, and the legendary King David the Builder committed his great deeds, you may get goose bumps.

Besides this, nearby there is another interesting monastery, Motsameta, which houses the relics of Saint David and Constantine. It is said that the visit to Motsameta makes sincere wishes come true. Worth trying!
If you tired with sightseeing, you should remember that in 9 kilometers from Kutaisi there is spa town Tskhaltubo, where you can experience the effects of healing mineral waters and spa therapy. Water of Tskhaltubo is especially useful for those who suffer from diseases of nervous, endocrine and cardiovascular system.

A visit to Imeretian caves (Sataplia and Prometheus’) also influences health positively. The air and temperature conditions there are suitable for people suffering from asthma. However, the caves are attractive not only as a place of recreation, but also as interesting natural monuments.
